Plains, Trains and Automobiles

Just a few days ago, our youth officer returned home to the UK after a 10 day whirlwind tour of Oregon in the US. After flying 5000 miles from Manchester in England to Portland, Oregon – the schedule would prove to be a busy one. The trip would consist of 9 presentation meetings (5 AsiaLink and 4 HistoryMakers), a radio interview and lots of meetings at American Diners like Applebee's! Over 1500 road miles were clocked up and most of Oregon was covered. Including an unscheduled meeting at Corvallis College Campus.

The trip was a success, with lots of teenagers and young adults thoroughly informed and inspired by what God is doing in Asia. North Korea was spoken about the most, most people were shocked and challenged by the situation in that country. China was also an emphasis during the talks as well as the Maldives and Laos. The trip was so successful in fact, that people over in the US are considering the next round of speaking meetings in Portland and other parts of Oregon. Please join with us in praying for wisdom and guidance in this area, as AsiaLink consider what it is the Lord would have us do in the US. Please also pray for the right meetings and contacts to be made in the surrounding States of California and Washington.

Finally, pray that those who saw just how 'white' the harvest field is, would not forget and continue to be stirred by Missions among the unreached of Asia.

Emergency!
