Conferences & Contacts

Dear friends,
It's been too long since the last post!
God has been doing wonderful things with the HistoryMakers ministry.

The second issue of the Magazine has recently been printed and distributed, which we're excited about. It features articles on unreached peoples, the Judsons, an exclusive interview with Casting Crowns, a in-depth profile on Bhutan and the usual inspiring and heart-rendering stories of Martyr's from the 'Jesus Freaks' book. There's also chance to improve your missionary knowledge with loads of interesting facts and figures from the mission field. We hope you enjoy it! If you haven't already signed up to receive the magazine, go to the HM homepage and click 'join'.

At YouthWorks and Fusion conference's, lots more have joined HM and there have been great opportunities to go and minister to youth groups all across the UK. Please pray that more people in the United Kingdom and Ireland will be open to the challenge of Missions and learn more about how they can be involved via HistoryMakers. The HM video continues to reach more people via YouTube and GodTube – Nearly 13,000 views between them both have been clocked up!

Pray for our Youth officer as he travels to the US in February 08, to minister in some local churches and youth groups in Oregon. Pray that people will be receptive and open to the Great Commission and the awesome challenge of reaching the unreached in Asia. Pray also that good contacts will be made.

AsiaLink is continually moving forward as we work with great contacts all across Asia. Recent staff trips to visit projects have given us further insight in how God is moving among the indigenous people's of Asia and it's a privilege for us to be part of it. It's exciting times and we are thankful that we can pass on the information to you! we're seeing fruits of labor in all the work we are involved in and once again we are extremely grateful to all you for your prayers and support.

Be encouraged, be inspired and if you're not already... be involved!
Warm regards in Jesus

Bibles Unbound

HistoryMakers have the opportunity to make a difference among the Christians of the Persecuted Church, here's how...

Even as you read this, persecuted Christians from around the world are gathering names and addresses from their local communities. These names are then submitted to Bibles Unbound where members have the opportunity to mail New Testaments in the appropriate language directly to the field. This unique program gives you the ability to stand alongside our persecuted brothers and sisters and help create a witness for Jesus Christ in hostile lands right from your own home.

We invite you to read about current ministry operations to the right and consider joining today. For a donation of only $30.00 per month you will receive everything you need to mail 5 New Testaments to individuals in a Restricted Nation. Click here to read more...

Bryn Baptist

Thanks for all your prayer for the Bryn Baptist meeting; it was possibly the best yet!
The feedback at the end was very positive, with over 20 youngsters signing up for HistoryMakers magazines and e-mail updates. One or two very enthusiastic guys inquired about future short-term mission trips with AsiaLink, that will take place next Spring & Summer.
Anyone else interested in knowing more about short-term opportunities with AsiaLink?
Email me at: historymakers@asialink.co.uk

It would be great to hear from you, what church you go to and what God is doing in your life right now!

Welcome!

Welcome to the HistoryMakers blog!

Are you passionate about Jesus? Are you concerned about the world we live in? Does it seem almost impossible to make a difference? It says in Zechariah 4:6 – 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty. That's how the HistoryMaker will change the world we live in. What's your passion? What's your burning desire? The web address for this blog, gives the answer as to what the heart of a HistoryMaker is like. Its taken from a passage in the bible, in Jeremiah 20:9 – But if I say, "I will not mention him or speak any more in his name," his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

Do you feel your passion for Jesus and his Word cannot be shut up inside? Indeed you cannot hold it in? David Crowder sings 'He has set me on fire, I am burning alive, with His breath in my lungs, I am coming undone... and I cannot hold it in – remain composed, Love's taken over me – so I propose... I am letting myself go... You are my joy!' God desires the HistoryMaker to take that 'word' that is in your heart 'like a fire' and spread it ablaze to the lost and perishing of this world. Next-door neighbour?, friend at college? Buddhist monk in Bhutan? God loves them all and they all need to repent and accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. God has called you to take the gospel to the unsaved. Let your 'heart like a fire' spread the Word of God.
