Unashamed

The 116 Clique came to Manchester on 7th August 2008. During the day the crew took part in the Rock, Rhyme and Reason Roadshow at the Urbis in Manchester. It was a tremendous blessing for all who listened to Lecrae, Shobaraka, Tedashi and Trip Lee blast out massive lyrics that proclaimed the Gospel and challenged Christians to be Unashamed of the Gospel.

Later that evening, the music continued at the event hosted by HistoryMakers. Over 350 people, mostly youth came to hear the message of Unashamed. Based on Romans 1:16, the rappers encouraged the audience to be Unashamed of the Gospel.

Tedashi even spoke about the Chinese House Church believers and the persecution they face. Earlier in the evening, AsiaLink's youth officer gave a short message about World Missions and God's purpose's for the nations–a challenge for believers everywhere to obey the Great Commission.

Lecrae finished the night with an altar call, from Creation to Christ he preached the Gospel. Overall, the whole day saw 10 people come to Christ. Some of which were people with bad drug and alcohol addictions. They discovered the wonderful saving Grace of Jesus!

Later on the 9th August, HistoryMakers held a workshop at the Birmingham Unashamed Conference. Many were challenged to be unashamed of God's purposes and the missions mandate to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

We made many friends and great contacts during the entire event, and we are excited about what God will do through the relationships that were formed. Even Reach Records were interested in connecting with HistoryMakers in the future to send teams into Asia.

Emergency!
